High Voltage Distribution System (HVDS) Scheme Details

Govt. of Maharashtra has approved High Voltage Distribution Scheme (HVDS) vide G.R. उविप्र २०१८/प्र. क्र. ३०/ऊर्जा-५ दिनांक ०५-०५-२०१८, for an amounting Rs. 5048.13 Crs., for releasing of 2,24,785 nos Agriculture connections having paid pending as on 31.03.2018 and establishment of 226 nos new substations in the state of Maharashtra ( 121 no’s of substations in Vidarbha & Marathwada and 105 nos of Substations in Rest of Maharashtra )
  1. Improvement in HT/LT line ratio hence reduction in line losses.
  2. Reduction in theft and pilferage
  3. Significant reduction of accidents due to minimal LT network.
  4. Reliable voltage level and uninterrupted power supply to the consumers .
  5. Minimization of transformer failure..
The budget of the scheme is around Rs.5048 Cr. The funding of the scheme is as follows:
  • The GoM has approved Grant of Rs. 2248.09 Crs., for implementation of the scheme in Vidarba & Marathawada region.
  • Loan from financial institutions for implementation of the scheme in rest of Maharashtra.
The scheme will be implemented in 2 years. Implementation of the scheme is in progress and is targeted to be completed by the end of Financial Year 2019-20.
